Well, this part is done (for now anyway).  What I've done is combined
isosurfacing and media in one rendering.  Attached is the result.

The isosurface corresponds to the 80% probability region of the electron
density.  The media is specified to display all points whose probability is
greater than 80% and less than 99.9% (i.e. the region outside the
isosurface).  This came out pretty good and rendered rather quickly (less
than 2 minutes at 640 by 480).  Best speed was obtained by using shadowless
lighting.  That reduced the render time by a factor of 10.

Next we do regions of differing colors with mixtures of media and
isosurfaces.  That should be kinda cool ... we'll see.

Any comments, observations, suggestions?
